Kyle Pult

Kyle returns to Absolute Volleyball Club for the 2025–26 season as the Assistant Coach of 18 Pink, assistant for 12 Blue, and Head Coach of 18 Gold on the Boy’s side. In 2024–25, Kyle began his AVC coaching career as an Assistant Coach of 13 White, but his ties to the club go back much further—he competed for AVC on the 18 Blue team from 2016–18. With four years of coaching experience, he brings a strong mix of playing knowledge and leadership to the program.

In addition to his work with AVC, Kyle has coached boys’ varsity volleyball at Marin Catholic High School, where he has helped guide athletes at varying skill levels. He now returns to Marin Catholic as the Boys’ Varsity Head Coach, continuing to grow his impact in the local volleyball community.

As a player, Kyle excelled as a middle blocker and outside hitter at both AVC and Marin Catholic. He was named MCAL Player of the Year in 2018 and helped lead his team to two MCAL league championships. His success as a player shapes his coaching approach today, as he works to instill passion, discipline, and leadership in his athletes. After high school, he attended Ventura College before transferring to the University of San Francisco, where he earned a degree in Management. While his college playing career was shorter than he hoped, his love for the game fueled his transition into coaching, where he now focuses on developing athletes both technically and mentally.

Kyle’s coaching philosophy centers on creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment. He believes players thrive when encouraged to take risks, make mistakes, and learn through experience. His goal is not only to build great volleyball players but also strong teammates and individuals who carry life lessons beyond the court. Outside of volleyball, Kyle enjoys playing video games, watching movies, staying active in other sports, and cheering for the San Jose Sharks, as well as spending time with family and friends.
