Building Leaders. Expanding Access. Strengthening Community.
At Absolute Volleyball Club, athlete development extends beyond practices and tournaments. Through athlete-led service, community partnerships and cost-free volleyball opportunities, AVC supports young people as they become confident players, responsible leaders and positive contributors to their communities.
Using Volleyball to Create Opportunity.
AVC athletes are using their experience and leadership to make volleyball more accessible to younger players. Through Bump It Up San Rafael, athletes help coach cost-free clinics, mentor participants, support community outreach and develop new opportunities for girls throughout Marin County.
Helping More Athletes Reach the Court.
Bump It Up San Rafael was created to reduce the financial and structural barriers that prevent young athletes from accessing high-level volleyball training. Its mission includes free and low-cost clinics, camps and scholarship opportunities.
A Home for Community Volleyball.
AVC partners with Bump It Up San Rafael to host cost-free volleyball clinics at the Absolute facility in San Rafael. These events provide young athletes with access to club-level instruction, mentorship and an encouraging environment where they can develop confidence and skills.
From AVC Athlete to Nonprofit Founder
While traveling to Absolute for training, AVC athlete Muriel Harris recognized that many girls in her community faced financial and structural barriers to participating in volleyball. She founded Bump It Up San Rafael to provide free and low-cost clinics, camps, scholarships and youth leadership opportunities.
