Jason Mongue

Jason Mongue joins Absolute Volleyball Club in 2025 and will be assisting 14 White. He brings three years of coaching experience, including leading successful 15s club teams to tournament victories such as the WCVBA Presidents’ Day Tournament. Jason also serves as the Head JV Coach at The College Preparatory School, where he emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and competitiveness.

Jason’s background as a coach includes work with both boys’ and girls’ programs, developing athletes at the junior varsity and club levels. His approach combines technical training with a focus on fostering confidence, communication, and resilience in his players. His success at the club level demonstrates his ability to prepare teams for high-level competition while keeping athlete growth and enjoyment at the forefront.

In addition to his volleyball career, Jason is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering, due diligence, and advisory roles. He is the Founder and Technical Due Diligence Principal at Clover Group and currently serves as a CTO Advisor at Boosted.ai. He has also held senior engineering leadership positions at companies including PagerDuty and McKesson. Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jason holds American Red Cross certification in First Aid and CPR, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for his athletes. His unique combination of technical expertise and coaching experience allows him to bring both analytical skills and a passion for athlete development to AVC. He is excited to continue mentoring young players and contributing to the club’s culture of growth and excellence.
