Izzy Ultsch

Isabella Ultsch joins Absolute Volleyball Club for her inaugural season as the Head Coach of 12 Pink and Co-Head Coach of 15 Pink in 2025–26, bringing with her both collegiate playing experience and prior coaching success. This marks her third season in coaching, where she has previously worked with boys’ 16s as well as girls’ 12s and 17s teams. A former Absolute player herself, Isabella is excited to return to the program that helped shape her as an athlete.

Isabella played NCAA Division II volleyball as an outside hitter at California State University, Monterey Bay, after beginning her collegiate career at Siena College. Over her four years, she tallied significant playing time, highlighted by multiple double-digit kill matches at Siena and steady contributions at Monterey Bay. She was also recognized academically, earning the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and CCAA Fall Academic Team honors while completing her degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. Prior to college, she starred at St. Mary’s College High School, where she was named team MVP as a senior, earned All–Tri-County League honors, and was a two-time all-league selection.

As a coach, Isabella emphasizes the importance of fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence. She strives to help her athletes grow as both players and people, drawing on her own experience balancing academics and athletics at a high level. Her goal is to create an environment where athletes feel supported, motivated, and prepared to push themselves on and off the court. Isabella is thrilled to return to Absolute in a coaching role and looks forward to helping the next generation of players develop a passion for the game.
