Alex Perelson

Alex Perelson begins his first season with Absolute Volleyball Club in 2025–26 as an Assistant Coach for the 18 Gold team. A Marin County local and graduate of Tamalpais High School, Alex played as a setter and middle blocker, helping his team capture an MCAL Championship and earning Second Team All-MCAL honors. He continued his playing career at the College of Marin, where he competed while pursuing a degree in Sociology.

Certified in USA Volleyball, First Aid/CPR, and NFHS Coaching Fundamentals, Alex brings a thoughtful and player-centered approach to his coaching. His philosophy emphasizes growth both on and off the court, encouraging athletes to continuously learn, provide feedback, and deepen their understanding of the game beyond just their position. He is dedicated to helping athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and find joy in their progress as individuals and as teammates.

Alex is passionate about giving back to the volleyball community that shaped his own athletic journey. He finds fulfillment in seeing players grow, gain confidence, and share in the excitement when everything “clicks.” Outside of coaching, he enjoys traveling, playing video games, and supporting the growth of volleyball in Marin.
